My Travel Story

Hello everyone! I'm excited to share with you all that I've accepted a year-long English Teaching Assistant position with l'académie de Bordeaux! I will be leaving to France at the very end of September. As thrilled as I am for this amazing opportunity, travelling abroad is not easy, so here I am asking for your help.

In December of 2019, I graduated from the University of Wisonsin-Oshkosh with a BA in French language and literature. After graduating, I was uncertain about what I wanted to do, and I am still figuring it out. What I am certain about is my passion to serve people, in whatever capacity possible. I am passionate about discovering cultures, lifestyles, and languages different than my own.

Through my own personal love for learning language and realizing the impact my own langauge teachers have had on me, coming across the position to teach my own langauge abraod, acting as a cultural and language ambassador, I discovered, is exactly what I want to do at this point of my life.

With that said, generally, I have never been the type to ask for help. However with the duty of living in France, I find it necessary. Truthfully, ANY amount no matter how big or small would be deeply appreciated for even nodding your support towards my endeavors. Through your help and embrace, reaching this goal of mine can be achieved. To share langauge and culture while experiencing myself, a completely new way of living and working being in a foreign country is the next step I plan to take.
