My Travel Story

Hey Guys!
First off thank you so so much for taking the time to visit my page! My name is Kayde Hambaum and in a few months I will be heading to Florence Italy for 6 weeks to study abroad!! I am so extremely excited for this opportunity and I cannot wait to share the journey with everyone through my youtube channel where I will be posting weekly vlogs!
I am currently a Junior at Central Michigan University majoring in Broadcasting and Cinematic Arts. My dream since I found out I was accepted into college has been to study abroad and I am so thankful to have this opportunity. My program will be at Florence University of the Arts and will be a 6 week summer program starting May 14th and ending June 23rd! 

WHAT WILL $5,500 GO TOWARDS?
All together I am expecting my entire program to cost right around $5,500. Here is the cost break down that my University has put together for me:
TUITION: 1,650
HOUSING: 1,440
ADMISSION FEE: 150
HEALTH INSURANCE: 60
AIRPORT PICK-UP: 80
LAB FEES: 200
MEALS: 400-600
AIRFAIR: 500 (I GOT A REALLY GOOD DEAL AND I AM VERY THANKFUL FOR THAT)
PASSPORT: 135
TRAVEL AND OTHER EXPENSES: 700

WHY SHOULD YOU HELP ME FUND MY STUDY ABROAD TRIP:

I believe I am deserving of your funding because I have worked so hard these past three years in college to get where I am now and this program will help set me even further in my dreams and goals I have for myself. Through out college, I have not only continued to take on a full load of credits (15+) every semester but I have also worked 2-3 jobs each semester as well as being involved in our schools co-curricular programs. I have already completed two internships for my major, one of them being an intern for CBS radio. I am an extremely hard worker and I have big dreams and goals for myself which always keeps me pushing to try harder and to stay motivated. Since being in college, I haven't had any financial support other than the scholarships I have recieved through my academic success in high school and in college. The only financial support I will be receiving for my study abroad program will me the scholarships I have applied for which I am hoping and praying I recieve but their are no gaurentees. With that being said, any donation you make towards my program will be so greatly and truly appreciated.

HOW WILL STUDYING ABROAD IMPACT ME OR HELP MY FUTURE GOALS?

While studying abroad I will be taking a photography course. For my minor in school which is Multi-media design, I study the art of photography, graphic design, as well as audio and film production. This class I am taking abroad will help further me in my minor as well as give me the opporunity to explore the art of another culture. Not only am I taking this class to help further me in my career, but I will also be able to capture moments and the beauty of another culture that other people may not be able to and then share them for others to enjoy. I am really excited for all of the adventures this program will bring about and to live and learn in a new culture for 6 weeks.
