As a freelance vocalist and Uber Eats delivery rider, it is very difficult for me to save money for my working holiday to the UK next year. I am currently working 5 days a week minimum to cover for rent, food and bills. And if I want any more than that, I have to be working extra as well.
I'm also turning 30 soon, which means that this is my last chance to get over to the UK and start working there through Global Work & Travel. I specifically want to do this trip not just for the experience of another country that I havn't yet been to (I have only been to Bali so far as far as overseas travelling goes), but because I have family over there whom I havn't yet met, and some music contacts who I have worked with from Australia as a session vocalist for their music productions but havn't yet had the chance to see live and get to know and work with in person.
So there are many reasons that I am hoping to get some funding for this trip, to help to make it easier for me to make it happen!
I understand that there are more important things that need funding, such as volunteer trips to help the underpriveleged communinites in third world countries, and saving animals in cruel environments overseas too. And because of this, I do feel very guilty even making this fundraising account. But I figured maybe if you feel like contributing to both and can do it without any problems on your part, please feel free to! :)
