My Travel Story

My name is Jorelli and I am a Filipina. In the Philippines, I work for an anti-trafficking non profit organization called Wipe Every Tear. We focus on education and Livelihood. 

My passion is to build a freedom business for the women survivors of trafficking  as well as those who are still trapped in the sex trade in the Philippines. 

We have been working to rescue and offer education until college to women in the redlight districts of Angeles City Pampanga. The mission is to set women free. One way to do that is bring them livelihood opportunitites. We have already launched a small business to provide income generating opportunities for the women, called Tayo Collective. Tayo in Tagalog (Language in the Philippines) means to stand, to build or together. This is our mission for the Livelihood programs and Livelihood Center we started. We still have a bigger goal than what we have started or what we currently are working on. You can find us on our website www.tayocollective.com.

In order to build our vision of a freedom business in the heart of the redlights in Pampanga where approximately 40,000 women have been trafficked, we need to learn from those who have been working in various redlight districts and have already started their own freedom business ministry.

The trips that we are planning to have also aim to build  networks and connections initially from ministries in Thailand, to be followed by Cambodia and Indonesia.
We'd like to help catch their vision for the freedom of the women working in their respective districts as well as get insight as to how to best start our own freedom business in the hearts of the redlights.

We believe that there is a bigger picture and we are at one of the puzzle pieces. We desire to build an actual sustainable business and worship center in the middle of the redlight district in Pampanga Philippines. This will provide vocational training and income to women needing a way out.
