My Travel Story

Sum 41 has been my favorite band since I discovered them in 1999. I grew up in a strict household and was never allowed to see them live when they were in town. Lucky for me, for my birthday/graduation this September, I was gifted two front row tickets to go see them with my bestie for the first time at their LAST. SHOW. EVER. in Toronto on January 30 - but I have to find my own way there.

I recently finished a software engineering program, a couple scrum/project manager certifications, and have been looking for work/developing an app ever since. Unfortunately, I haven't found anything with a salary as of yet - otherwise I wouldn't be here asking for help to make my childhood dream come true and check an item off my bucket list!

I, of course, will pay it forward and help fund someone else's trip when I land a job and start raking in the engineering dollars - everyone deserves to travel and have unique experiences, right!?

Please also check out Toronto Food Not Bombs. They're an amazing group that feeds hundreds and hundreds of at-risk and houseless Torontonians every week and they always need donations! I have a longstanding relationship with them and will be volunteering with them while I'm there!
