My Travel Story

Hi! My name is Sofie, i am 23 years, from Denmark, and looking for help funding my 2023 psychology internship in Cape town, South Africa. I have a bachelor in psychology, and have chosen to take some time off in my studies, to get some real life experience, before starting my masters degree. Therefore i have been accepted into a psychology internship, where i will be working in a psychiatric clinic for youth and adolecents in Cape town. I have previously spent time in Cape town, volunteering in a center for orphaned children (see picture), and besides falling in love with the city, i felt the urge to do more than just volunteer-work. I am hoping to get a better understanding of the mental health care system in South africa, thus providing me with more knowledge on how to better the circumstances for these kids and adolecents.
