My Travel Story

Dear Friends, I'm reaching out with a heavy heart. Recently, i lost my first born son, Deondre McRae , to gun violence, and the grief has been overwhelming. Every day has been a struggle- simple things like cooking, driving, and focusing on daily life feel nearly impossible. Healing has been a long and difficult journey, and i am still navagating this unimaginable loss.

Some close friends have encouraged me to join them on a trip to Columbia, believing it could bring me a sense of peace and solace. After covering funeral expenses and other financial burdens, I find myself unable toa afford this oppurtunity for healing. While on this trip, I also plan to do some volunteer work, as giving back has always brought me comfort. I believe that helping others will play a meaningful role in my healing journey. 

I am humbly asking for support to help with travel expenses, including airfare, room and board, and other cost. Any donation, big or small, would mean the world to me as I take this step toward healing. If your're unable to give, simply sharing this would also be a great help.
