I worked Hard in Hanoi
6 Months of the Year
When I travelled to Saigon
To get out of here.
My plan was to sojourn
That Laotion way
When some ne'er do well locals
Caught me up in their sway.
They pilfered my wallet 
They snatched up my phone
Twas a rookie mistake
That left me broke and alone.
The police were no help, as should be no surprise,
For the cops here in Ho Chi Minh don't sympathize
With a fella who wants to get back on his feet
And to see justice done on these crime-ridden streets.
The country of Laos is the last on my list
Of East Asian nations on this travelling tryst.
Now I've never been one to hold out my hat
But with lots of convincing, I'm doing just that.
Admittedly I carried far too much cash
But the least you could donate would save my white ass.
