My Travel Story

I will be going to Scotland to internship for my human services degree! 
This trip will provide me the opportunity to go abraod and experience an immersion in a new culture that will teach me about the value of diversity and truly just how much you can learn from poeple who are different than you. 
The experience I take home from this internship will forever change the lens of how I work with poeple, value a persons individuality, and effectively work towards helping poeple meet thier goals in a professional setting.
I am very passionate about this project becuase it is something that some people never get to experience in their entire lives. The fact that I am able to go is a blessing in itself! I want to be a better person for my community, for those I am going to help in the future, and to really learn how to ethically, effectively, and consistently help individuals recieve the help they might need. 
I chose this desitination because Scotland is a beautiful territory with deep history and beautiful culture that I have dreamed of experiencing. 
This trip is meaningful to me becuase there is so much out there to explore and to learn from. I will meet new people daily, learn and appreciate the heritage of anothers culture, and really develop a global lens that will indirectly but especially affect those around me that I work with. 
I deeply appreciate the time and consideration of helping me fundraise. This is a dream come true and I really want to be able to develop the skills I need in the most enlightening way as possible.
