This August, EarthEcho International will convene the EarthEcho Youth Leadership Council (YLC) for their 3rd Annual Leadership Summit in Washington, DC. The YLC represents a new generation of visionaries who see past the vast environmental challenges to solutions and opportunities. They are an outstanding group of environmental advocates and problem solvers who are committed to inspiring and empowering others to take action. Throughout the year, they work tirelessly on developing programming, campaigns and projects that engage youth and communities around the world to live more sustainably on our planet. YLC members are given the stage to be the face of the environmental movement by representing EarthEcho at conferences, in written op eds and blogs, and numerous community activities. During the Leadership Summit members will gain valuable skills in communication, branding, teamwork, and planning. They will collaborate with EarthEcho’s founder Philippe Cousteau on their action plans. Members will leave the summit prepared to take action in the coming year connected with their peers with new tools and resources to be the effective leaders they want to be.
