Hello everyone,
I am Shrija(Annika), and I came to Germany in 2022, as an au-pair to take a gap year in order to figure out what I wanted to do with my life. Coming from a very low income family, I had to work hard to make my own money and use 3 months of savings to buy a plane ticket, which helped me educate myself in a new language, culture and a fresh perspective after I moved to Germany. After working in the hotel industry for a year, I had to stop working due to medical issues with my right leg, for which I still go through treatments. Nevertheless, I had to switch careers and I am very grateful to have found a passion that fuels my heart. I started practicing and learning photography from scratch and was able to make a part time income from the second month. But I have just started doing this since 8 months and everything I earn, I use to pay rent, insurance and food and have nothing to save or to spend on myself. I haven't seen my family since 2.5 years and I really really miss them. I miss home and I would love to go back. 

If you could help me with something it would mean the world to me to be  able to go  back and visit them, because neither me nor my parents can afford a two way ticket. My father is retiring in August. I thank you for reading this till the end.

It would mean the world to me if I can go and visit them for sometime and take a break from work and not worry about my bills for  that time and come back with cherished memories.
