I am incredibly excited to share that I will be traveling to Zambia with my nursing program for a global health clinical experience. This opportunity will allow me to step outside of the traditional classroom setting and learn what healthcare looks like in a completely different part of the world.
As a nursing student, experiences like this are truly life-changing. This trip will strengthen my clinical skills, critical thinking, and cultural competence—qualities that are essential in becoming the best nurse I can be. I plan to work in high-acuity settings in the future, and learning to provide care with limited resources will push me to grow both professionally and personally. It will teach me how to be adaptable, compassionate, and creative in delivering safe and effective care.
While in Zambia, my classmates and I will be assisting local healthcare providers, supporting children and families, and helping with medical outreach in underserved communities. Our goal is not just to “visit,” but to serve—offering hands-on support while learning from the healthcare professionals and communities there. This experience is about collaboration, humility, and making even a small difference where we can.
I chose Zambia because it offers the opportunity to learn about global health disparities firsthand and understand how culture, access, and resources shape healthcare delivery. This is deeply meaningful to me because nursing is more than a career—it’s a calling to serve others with compassion and respect, no matter where they are in the world.
Any donation, big or small, will help cover travel, lodging, and medical supply costs for this educational service trip. Your support is not only helping me grow as a future nurse, but it is also contributing to the care and outreach we will provide to communities in Zambia.

Thank you for believing in me and supporting this journey. ❤️
