My Travel Story
I am writing to express my strong interest in applying for a scholarship to study abroad, currently, a graduate student at ASU (Arizona State University), pursuing a Master's in Sustainable Leadership, with a GPA of 4.0, and eager to take advantage of the opportunity to find indigenous sustainability solutions in the Amazon, Ecuador from May 12th to 20th 2023.
I have always been passionate about learning about different cultures and ways of life. In this program, we will be able to combine Indigenous and scientific knowledge towards supporting: (1) biocultural approaches to conservation led by Indigenous peoples and local communities, (2) sustainability solutions such as solar-powered river transportation systems in the Amazon, and (3) eco-tourism projects that generate local income while supporting local bio-cultures and ecosystems. and possible solutions for sustaining Amazon.
Studying abroad would provide me with the knowledge, skills, and experience needed to succeed in these fields. This experience would have a profound and lasting impact on my personal and professional development.
