My Travel Story

I am a high school teacher in a rural K-12 school seeking funding for my students to take an educational trip to London, Paris, Lucerne, and Munich in 2027. It would be many students' first and possibly only opportunity to travel outside their immediate area, broadening their perspectives and understanding of global issues. Immersing themselves in rich histories, art, architecture, and cuisines can ignite a lifelong passion for learning and exploration.

Each destination offers unique educational opportunities. In London, they will explore British history, literature, and theater. Paris offers insights into art, history, and French culture. Lucerne's landscapes and Swiss heritage provide a contrast to the bustling cities, while Munich offers a glimpse into German history and culture, including its renowned engineering and technology sectors.

Traveling will challenge my students to step out of their comfort zones, fostering personal growth, independence, and self-confidence. They will learn to navigate new environments, interact with people from different backgrounds, and adapt to unfamiliar situations, valuable life skills. Experiencing vibrant cities firsthand can inspire students to set ambitious goals for their futures, shaping their academic and career paths.
