My Travel Story

My daughter Imani is graduating from Morgan State University with a bachelor's degree in Construction Management in May. There are ten children in my family, including Imani, who is a twin. I still have three children, including my stepdaughter who I have custody of at home ages 14, 14, and 9. In my family of eight daughters, girl power has always been a theme. My car just broke down, and all the hotels are far too expensive. To attend my daughter's graduation, I need money to get me and my three daughters to Baltimore. She achieved this with a 4.0 GPA, which is truly amazing. In the past, I have taken the girls to their sisters' colleges, family weekends, etc., including Imani when she was young. Anything to show them they have options in life. Recently, however, my two oldest daughters were both pregnant at the same time and delivered on 4/2 and 4/5/2024. The births and deliveries of both babies were complicated and difficult. They have needed my help for the last two months. Due to my independent contractor status, I did not do much work for myself. I will be able to catch up on all my bills with the money I am working for right now. This trip is not financially feasible for me. In my research, I found that all airbnbs range from $1200-1400 plus $400 for a rental and $200 for gas, food, and tolls. Currently, I cannot afford $2000. We've never missed any important events as a family, so I don't want to disappoint her. It is impossible for me to express how grateful I would be if you could assist me.
