My Travel Story

I was fortunate to have been caregiver to both my parents in their final time on earth. There is no higher honor than to care for the ones that cared for you. My dad passed in 2008 and traveled quite a bit in his time on earth. My mom passed in 2019 and only traveled to Colorado until I retired, bought a used RV and took her on a 2 month journey/vacation across parts of the U.S. There were lots of places she wanted to see but we ran out of finances and had to cut our trip short. She was 89 years young at the time and it was the best vacation ever for us. After she passed I found myself once again caring for someone. This time it is my daughter and the baby she never thought she'd have. I feel God blessed us by giving her a love like she thought she'd never know and giving me a new grandson to fill the void in my heart from mom's passing. I want to get a homebase set up on property I have in Ga. This will be a place for them to live permanently and a place for me to park my RV when not traveling. I live on SS and a small state pension so my travels are limited to very meager and frugile adventures. My mom wanted to see the Alamo, Arizona, Redwood trees of California and Yellowstone National Park. We weren't able to make that happen. I'd like to visit these places alone or with my family and have mama see them through my eyes and heart. She was a wonderful and caring old Florida cowgirl and I was honored to be there to make her comfortable and to allow her to remain in her home. Any and all help no matter how small will be so greatly appreciated. God bless anyone reading these words. And to my mama, I'll keep trying for you ❤❤
