My Travel Story
Thanks for visiting my campaign @ FundMyTravel!!!
My name is Eduardo Gil a mid-30s spaniard looking for a lifetime experience! Yes!! A truly lifetime experience!!
But first just 4 lines about myself:
- Engineer by profession, photographer by passion, singer by desire...
- Madrilenial in origin, left Spain to live and work abroad a few years back!
- A former "autopilot life" guy, wanting now to step away for a few months and expose myself to new places and a once-in-lifetime experience!
And what could be that stunning lifetime experience?
Well, as you can guess, and giving you are reading this in FundMyTravel.com... YESSS!!! It is all about travelling! And to be more specific is about 26 weeks of disconnection from the corporate, developed, routined world to connect to nature, new cultures, new landscapes, new countries, definetely new ways to understand life, facing issues, living with what I am able to carry within my two bags totalling 30 kg!
Why doing this?
After living a bit of an "autopilot life" for a few amount of years as well as suffering a bit of stress, anxiety and even yeah, let´s say it, a depression episode, life has giving the opportunity to pause a bit and welcome the world and life in general with a new perspective so I said: why not?. Now that I am better from my personal issues I have decided to take this opportunity onboard. After reading a lot on mindfulness and new ways to approah life, this can help me out living in first person and realizing about whats life and the purpose of us around this amazing place we call world.
It sounds like a great experience, probably because it is a great experience!! And you will be more than welcome to chase from my Instagram account, my Facebook account, here at FundMyTravel or via my personal website! Who knows, maybe you are in that state of: "Should I be doing this??". If that´s the case, maybe to follow me will help you jump on your decision!! But trust me, if you started questioning it... hmmmm..... Do it!! Also, as said in the paragraph before, this trip will help me pause my mind and get first person experience of how to face and overcome stress, problems, issues, anxiety in the future and the most important thing: to help others!
Why am I on FundMyTravel.com?
I would love to take on board this adventure using an alternative way different from money... however and sadly, not sure if this will be feasible... hence why I am here to try to get just a bit of financial support to help me out carrying out this lifetime experience!!
