Hey Everyone!

My name is Angelina and I am a Junior majoring in Animal Science with a concentration in the Pre-Veterinary Medicine Tract attending Michigan State University. I’m excited to announce that during the first two-three weeks of May, I will be studying abroad in Ireland and Northern Ireland, UK. During this study abroad trip, I will be exploring the Irish Horse Industry through different types of facilities and local/small businesses such as breeding and thoroughbred farms, nutrition facilities, etc. As well as learning and experiencing the culture of Ireland and Northern Ireland through nature, architecture, and diversity within music, literature, etc. With this in mind, this once in a lifetime experience is costly and I am trying to fundraise to help offset some of the cost of this study abroad opportunity.

The agricultural industry is continuously evolving and changing the procedures of horse industry farms and programs, which might create controversy amongst individuals. As someone who studies Animal Science, as well as the agricultural industry, this is an amazing opportunity to compare how the Irish horse industry compares and contrasts with the American horse industry; as well as make valid decisions about which technique and procedures would be the most beneficial for the horse industry.

As an individual who enjoys traveling and experiencing different cultures, this study abroad experience will be close to my heart. Most of my family are of Irish descent and have taught me about the lineage of our ancestors originating from Ireland. This will give me an opportunity to learn more about my family ancestry, as well as expand my knowledge in Irish culture.

Thank you for taking the time to acknowledge and read through my study abroad trip campaign. Any efforts of generosity through donation or even prayer, for my group and I, will be greatly appreciated!
