My Travel Story

by: Joanne Soojay Start Date: May 13, 2024 - End Date: Nov 12, 2024
Winning the South African Junior Chess Championships is a remarkable achievement, and being selected to represent my country at international tournaments is a testament to my skills hard work and dedication. By supporting my trips overseas, you're not just investing in my individual success, but in the potential impact I can make in my chess career and in the community.

I have played African youth chess championships in June and I secured silver making me 2nd in Africa.

Playing these international tournaments overseas will provide me with invaluable experiences and opportunities to enhance my skills both on and off the chessboard. As I strive towards achieving my Candidate Master Title, every tournament I participate in will contribute to my growth as a player and as a person.

Moreover, by transferring my knowledge and skills in chess to others, especially to those who may not have access to coaching, I can help empower individuals to reach their full potential. This extends beyond the chessboard, fostering critical thinking, strategic planning, and perseverance in individuals of all ages and backgrounds.

Your support not only enables me to pursue my dreams but also serves as an inspiration for others, showing them that with determination and support, anything is possible. Together, we can make a meaningful impact in the world of chess and beyond. Thank you for considering to fund my journey towards success.
