My Travel Story

by: Cole Radenbaugh Start Date: Oct 30, 2016 - End Date: Dec 25, 2016
Hey y'all,

With my first year as an Education Volunteer in Mozambique nearing completion I'm looking to try and see more of this beautiful continent and get back on the water before my second school year starts.  As great as being a Peace Corps Volunteer is, my living allowance isn't enough to get me up to Tanzania and the starting line of the Ngalawa cup.  Which is why I am looking for some help from  friends, family, and supporters alike to get me there.

I'll be traveling overland from my town of Chitima in the province of Tete in Mozambique through Malawi and by train across Tanzania.  Where I'll meet up with a friend to start the Ngalawa cup sailing race.  A 500 km race through the Zanzibar Bay in boats made from Mango trees for 9 days, where we'll be roughing it camping on the coast and eating over open flame every night.

I'm looking to raise $2,500 for my $1500 entry fee and another $1000 to cover travel, food, and lodging during my journey to and from the starting line in Zanzibar. Support of any size is greatly appreciated.

If you like the adventure idea enough to donate please be sure to look for blog updates and photos along my journey to see this awesome exposition unfold.

Thank you and much love,
Cole
