A Safari For Compassion: Lauren’s South Africa Vet Mission
My Travel Story
I'm Lauren, an Animal Biology major at the University of British Columbia. My academic journey is a stepping stone towards veterinary school, where I aim to dedicate my work to the health of animals. I'm thrilled to have this incredible opportunity to head to South Africa to aid wildlife and contribute to the well-being of local community pets and farm animals.
My passion for animals has been a lifelong companion, sparked by an intense adoration for giraffes that started when I was much younger. Now, I have the chance to directly impact these gentle giants and many other amazing creatures that deserve all the care in the world!
During my time in South Africa, your donation will allow me to provide hands-on care for these animals. From small pets in local communities to majestic wildlife and farm animals, I'll be actively involved in their health and comfortability. Importantly, caring for animals in local communities not only improves the animals lives but also enhances the lives of the people in those communities.
Your support isn't just about funding a dream; it's about ensuring that these animals and their communities receive the dedicated care they deserve. With your help and compassion a significant difference can be made.
With gratitude, Lauren
