Hello, my name is Elsi Sumba, and I’m writing this with a heart full of hope.
 
Since I was a child, I’ve dreamed of something simple yet meaningful: to travel to beautiful places and share kindness with the people I meet along the way.
 
Bali has a special place in my heart — not just for its beauty, but for the kindness of its people. Each time I visit, I meet street cleaners, motorbike drivers, elderly scavengers, and hardworking people who never ask for anything despite their struggles.
 
One unforgettable moment shaped my dream. On a hot September afternoon, I saw an elderly woman sitting by the roadside, exhausted and drenched in sweat. In her hands was a sack full of plastic bottles. Without a second thought, I gave her the small amount of money I had left — even though I needed it myself.
 
She accepted it with trembling hands and gave me the most genuine smile I have ever seen. That moment changed me. I knew I wanted to do this every time I travel — to leave kindness behind in every place I visit.
 
This time, I’m starting with Bali.
