My Travel Story

After I complete my A Levels in 2020 I will be travelling to Borneo for a month with Camps Inernational. Here I will be volunteering in the local community taking part in activities such as reforestation, building communal facilities and caring for orphaned animals. So far I have raised 3/4 of the money in my weekend when not at school and am on the final push for the last chunk. This part of the money goes towards the materials to carry out the community projects. We will be helping the community evolve by creating anything from new toilet blocks to education facilities. Reforestation is going to be a large part and is very important to me as someone keen to do my best for the environment. I chose to go to Borneo as I want to do something where the rewards are reaped by someone other than myself.
