My Travel Story

It has been my dream for a long time to go teach English in South Korea. However, there are several struggles I have encountered that have made it very difficult to attain this dream.
First, I need to become certified to teach English to foreign students. The best accredited course for this purpose is offered by the International TEFL Academy. I have been in contact with an advisor from this company. Not only do they teach you how to do the job, they also help you find a job once you get your certification and provide support to you while you are in a foreign country.
The problem is, it's expensive to pay for the course. It is a little over $2,000, and I would also need to pay for travel expenses while taking the course. Additionally, I would need to pay for a place to stay. Then there are also costs associated with moving to another country. I have estimated this whole cost may be about $4,000, and that is probably conservative.
You may ask why it is so important to me to teach in South Korea, and why I need to get certified. Well, my whole life I have wanted to travel to Asia, and specifically South Korea. I am very interested in South Korean culture, food, music, and language. I personally love studying different languages and that is why I believe I would be a good person to teach English - as a student of other languages myself, I would resonate with these learners and be able to encourage them.
As to why I need to get certified, English schools will not accept a teacher who has not obtained their TEFL certification, and they can reject those who have obtained one from a less than prestigious school. That is why I have decided to get my TEFL certification from the most prestigious school in the business.
I hope, as you read this request for help, that you can feel my enthusiasm and gratitude. I am thankful even that you took the time to read about my dream.
God bless,
Vera.
