My Travel Story

I feel as if my calling is to not only open a dialogue for social issues facing the world, but to help amplify the voices of those who would not otherwise be heard. Being able to participate in a Seamester program would equip me with so many of the skills needed to be effective at delivering the things aforementioned. From basic medical training and participating in international communities, to learning navigational techniques and honing in on my leadership skills, this opportunity would instill so many valuable lessons in me.

My goal is to have a significant portion of the funds raised before this fundraiser ends on December 24th. My first opportunity would be to go in the Spring of 2018, as I am not yet eighteen. This particular program is a 90 day voyage from South Africa to Antigua. While this puts me in a crunch for generating funds, it would be the easiest way to get the twelve credits that this program would give me on my transcript because junior colleges tend to be more lenient with opportunities such as this.
