My Travel Story

by: Karen Broemmelsick Start Date: Aug 25, 2019 - End Date: May 24, 2020
As a fellow horse-lover and artist, I know the importance of having good reference photos.

I know that it can often be hard to find quality reference photos that are available to artists without many restrictions.

I also know that many artists are unable to travel or get their own references for a variety of reasons.

With that said, it's become my mission to help other artists by providing them high-quality reference photos, particularly of horses. However, I can't do this without your help!

My plan is to go to Portugal in May 2020 to bring back many photos of the beautiful Lusitano horse to share with artists. Lusitanos are one of the oldest horse breeds in the world and, with their classic Iberian looks, are popular to depict in art. They are elegant, athletic, and have powerful, compact bodies with long, flowing manes.

Any amount, no matter how large or small, will be greatly appreciated! Thanks to you, I was able to go to France last year and bring back hundreds of reference photos for you to use. For that, I am extremely grateful. If you'd like even more reference photos, please consider contributing to my next trip! Your donation will go directly toward the cost of the workshop and travel expenses.

Thank you in advance for your contribution. You have no idea how much it means to me to have your support.
