My Travel Story

I am excited to share that I will be traveling to Cambodia in February 2024 following my December 2023 graduation with a Bachelor degree in Criminology with emphasis in Psychology and Native American Studies from Montana State University.

I will be teaching youth members of a Cambodian orphanage about the topics of English, Empowerment and Leadership.

In addition to providing these youth with a broader perspective and tools/education to benefit them throughout their lives, for many, I will be their first-ever female role model. I am deeply honored to be able to provide this service and I intend to take the opportunity very serious. 

On a personal level, I will gain insight into the lives and culture of a disadvantaged group of youth, but I will learn much more from them!

I will put my strong desire of service to work in a way that allows the youth to discover their greater potential and push them farther than they could have imagined for themselves given their circumstances. 

Cambodia is impoverished and underdeveloped, similar to the populations I intend to serve once I am working full-time in my chosen career.
