My Travel Story
Since my birth in 2000, Iraq has been in very difficult conditions, the US occupation, sectarian conflicts, terrorism, ISIS, and now there are civil wars, corrupt politics, and other bad things. In light of all this, sometimes a 22-year-old guy wants to dream like any other dreamer. like any other person who lived a normal childhood and an ordinary life, dreaming of getting to know the cultures of the world, learning new languages, roaming the world, and giving his every day of life a great value.
In 2016, after I lost 5 of my friends due to a terrorist bombing, I pledged myself to volunteer and help my community to be better. I volunteered in many local organizations and helped in many projects that aimed to develop the community, but I always had the passion to volunteer abroad, I always wanted to travel the world and leave my mark in these countries. Today, after graduating from university with a bachelor’s degree in architecture, I asked myself whether I want to make my dreams a reality or let them disappear under the wreckage of the tragic reality of the country in which I live. Of course, the passion inside me did not allow me to kill my dreams and I am here today trying to raise some money to achieve my dreams and volunteer for a project in South America.
It has always been my dream to see Latin countries, explore their cultures, and learn about the way people live there. Today, by helping me, you are not only helping someone, but you are fulfilling the dream of a young man to see the world, achieve his goals, and build a leadership personality through which he can help his community to grow, develop and make a change.
