My Travel Story

Dear fellow kindhearted souls out there, 

I am writing to you because I am in desperate need of you all. I will start off from the beginning, perhaps you'll understand more then.

My name is Mohammed, but you can call me Ed. I am a sixteen-year old guy from Sweden. I am pretty much a language geek. I've mastered four languages fo far: English, Swedish, Norwegian so far. Moreover, I speak somewhat good German. And I also speak a bit of Hebrew, Dutch, Afrikaans, Portuguese and French. And here's the thing. I decided I wanted to study English at an academic level on a language course with Education First(EF). I'm maybe booksmart, but I need to be streetsmart too - I need to be there.  

My first thought was England. But then I thought - I want to be somewhere far away, somewhere things are different and where there are different and other ways of living. I want to see another world(or another part of the world, for that matter). That's when I came to my conclusion that, South Africa it is!

At first, I wanted this to be a simple language trip. But then I digged further into South Africa. Lots of fascinating things. But also terrifying. Half of the population is poor, and a huge amount of them live under extreme poverty. South Africa is also the country with the highest number of AIDS/HIV in the world. 
I know, this isn't something new. We know poor people exist. But do we always do something about that? I feel like, I can't be there knowing people are miserable and I'm not doing something about it! I must do something about it! I feel like it's my duty! Help me help others! 

I need your help in raising money, as I live with my single-mother and I have a part-time job, but I fear that I might not get to the amount of money I need. So I need your help. I need to fund my trip and with your help also do some charity with the money as well! I'd be incredibly thankful for each and every contribution, be it 1 bucks or a 100 bucks, small or big, I'll be grateful! <3
