Hello everyone, my name is Mia Hooper and my goal is to spend part of my gap year in Israel to further connect with my faith, Judaism, so I am fundraising in order to help me do this. My aim is to be in Israel for 5 months, during which I will be volunteering and immersing myself in the vibrant culture of Israel; but I can't manage the cost on my own. Your funds will help me to explore my religion and culture by going towards my food for the 5 month experience and my flights to and from Israel, as well as any exploration costs. I wish to spend this time in Israel to connect with Judaism more, because in England I have struggled to feel a connection to it. I feel the experience will help me grow personally and professionally and will also help with my future education and career in Psychology, given that I will have more autonomy and the ability to explore in Israel. I will make a difference in the community of Israel by volunteering, and will help my community back in England by bringing my newfound knowledge and experience home with me and using it. Your support will mean a great deal to me, as each act of support will help me in exploring my religion and strengthening my connection to my Jewish identity.
