Dreams in Motion: My Journey to World Youth Days
My Travel Story
My name is Austėja, and I have always dreamed of visiting South Korea – a country whose culture, history, and people have inspired me since childhood. In 2027, World Youth Day will take place in Seoul, and it would be my first and possibly only chance to experience this incredible event alongside hundreds of thousands of young people from around the world.
I come from a large but financially struggling family in Lithuania. Often, I had to choose between necessities and dreams, putting my aspirations on hold. But this dream is special to me. 2027 will mark my final year of school, and this trip would be more than just a journey—it would be a meaningful reward for years of hard work, dedication, and volunteering.
Participating in World Youth Day means more than just traveling to another country. It is an opportunity for personal and spiritual growth, to meet people who are also searching for their path, and to feel the sense of unity that inspires belief in oneself and in the world.
However, the trip to Seoul is very expensive, and I cannot afford it on my own.
That is why I am asking for your help. Every euro, every word of encouragement, is not just financial support but a sign that my dream is worth achieving. Even from a small town in Lithuania, with your help, I can reach for my biggest dreams.
