My Travel Story

Hi. Thankyou for visiting my fundraising page. In July 2019 I will be going on a once in a life time trip to Kenya with African Adventures. African Adventures takes volunteers to help deprived areas.

The purpose of the trip is to help the less fortunate children in a local school in Kenya by improving and rebuilding their school and teaching. By teaching the children we will be giving the children a basic education to help them in life. By rebuilding parts of their school we will be giving them more classrooms to use so they can have smaller class sizes so they can get the attention they need. 

This is trip is very important to me as I feel that this generation is extremely privileged and have so much that we should give back to the less fortunate as they really struggle to survive. I would love to go to Kenya and help and care for the underprivileged children as they have so little which is devastating. I feel that after having an insight into these children’s lives I will become a more appreciative person in my everyday life. 

As you may already know, the trip costs £1945 which is a lot of money, so to raise this money I will be taking part in many fundraising events including raffles, cake sales, charity nights etc. 

I will post the events that will be taking place to fundraise to keep you updated. I am very excited for this trip as it it such an amazing opportunity.
