Nicola’s medical volunteer work to Africa
My Travel Story
Hi there. My name is Nicola and I have been given an amazing opportunity to do volunteer work in Zambia, South Africa. As many of you know I have been in the medical field for over 20 years and have been a registered nurse for 13 years in a hospital. I'll be volunteering my time and nursing skills in clinic settings in rural Africa for those who live in low-resource communities where healthcare is neither accessible nor affordable. Most of these clinics rely solely on volunteers for their healthcare. I will be housed several miles away from my work posting so I will have to either walk, bike or taxi there every day.
I will also have to secure a multi-country tourist Visa to gain access into Zimbabwe and Botswana while there.
My goal for raising funds is to offset the costs of this trip which include but are not limited to: program fees, housing, airfare, medical supplies, additional required documentation fees for travel, and more!
If you have any questions about the trip please feel free to reach out and I would be happy to discuss it more. I have zero expectations from anyone, and am so grateful for any support whether that's a monetary contribution, sharing this link.
