Teaching English Volunteering in India Summer Project
My Travel Story
our names are Karla Tolic and Katarina Bogdanovic, we are 16 and we come from Dubrovnik, Croatia. Both of us have been active in local charity work, but we have decided that we want to get engaged with a project abroad and experience a foreign culture. We are joining a volunteering project organised by Kaya Responsible Travel organisation. Our project is focused on assisting in education of children in disadvantaged Indian communities. Our days will be spent in finding creative ways to motivate and teach underprivileged Indian children. We will take part in teaching a variety of subjects and activities, but will mostly focus on English language. The specific project that we will be joining will be located in Jaipur, Rajasthan and will last for two weeks. The money raised will cover the cost of the project including our accommodation, food, transport within Jaipur and our plane tickets. We have a lot of enthusiasm and energy and are really eager to aid the needful children.
