Help Me to Help People!
My Travel Story
Hi!
My Name is Keira Featherstone, and this coming fall I have made the decision to stay back from school, and indulge myself in a once in a life time opportunity to help people where I can in other countries.
My first stop will be in Santa Elena, Ecuador, for 4 weeks. Here I will be working with children in low income areas. In addition to that work, I will be given the opportunity to connect with the community around where I am staying, working in the schools with those kids, as well as in schools for woman, and possibly even able to assist in some physical labour in the community.
My next stop is in Portugal, for an additional 4 weeks. In Portugal, I will be working alongside a homeless community, helping with food service, community building, and more.
In both destinations I hope to be challenged spiritually, emotionally, and physically. I want this experience to change my view on life, and have me waking a up with a greater heart everyday. As someone who stresses a lot about logistics, it would mean the absolute world to me if I were able to recover any don’t actions to help me fund this trip! This way I can focus on the work that I plan to do, rather than the finances that I don’t want to rely my generosity on.
Thank you so much for your support!!
