My Travel Story

I'm passionate about learning more about other cultures how it affects their everyday life. I chose this destination because it has a tremendous historical significance with experiencing discrimination. I will take what I learn in Berlin and apply it to my classes in social work exposing societal oppression that still goes on so we can look at our communities in America and see if we have some of those issues. This will help me in my education and career because I will be exposed to a completely different culture than mine and be able to apply that in social work. In social work I have to learn how to communicate and advocate for people of many different cultures and ethnic backgrounds. This is important to me because I've always wanted to travel the world, intermingle with other cultures, and truly try to experience  what each group of people go through.
