My Travel Story

Hi there!
We are a social enterprise based in Peru and our mission is to fight against child labor and promote education as the as the driving force to social and economic empowerment.
How do we do that? Through photography!
We give free photography classes to Peruvian teenagers who come from low income families and are at risk of schoo drop-out.  We then produce and sell greeting cards with the pictures that they take and we share 60% of the proceeds with the photographers, who invest the money in their education.
Twice a year, we go on photography in trips in Peru to give the photographers the possibility to take pictures in beautiful, green areas of the country, and therefore increase the chance to earn money for their education through their pictures.
Approximately, half of the FairMail cards for sales are produced with pictures taken on the trips which makes them a tangible opportunity for the photographers to build a better future for themselves.
Normally, we fund these trips thanks to the participation of travelers from all over the world who travel with us and cover the costs of our photographers. This year unfortunately, due to the many things that have being going on in Peru, namely the riots following the incarceration of former President Castillo, the dengue epidemic and the weather phenomeno "El Niño, many people have decided not to travel to Peru, which, for us meant almost no funds for our trip to Cajamarca.
For this reason we are launching this campaign, we would really like to give the photographers the chance to travel because missing the trip would mean missing a great opportunity to earn money for their education.
