My Travel Story

Hello! My name is Beth, a law student on a mission. Any help possible would mean the world to me! My motivation to volunteer, and teach the children of Cambodia, originates from my belief in the power of education and the opportunities it can create for those in underserved communities. I want to use my privilege for good and give back to those who need it most. In Cambodia, many children are deprived of quality education. Teaching these children English presents them with not only broader opportunities in life, further education and professional opportunities but also can empower them and allow them to connect more freely with the world around them. By impairing language skills, my aim is for these children to dream big and advocate for quality education as a universal right. 
Helping children from diverse backgrounds may also improve my communication and teaching skills. This experience would provide me with the opportunity to learn how to efficiently adapt to students who may have different ways of learning. This is a skill that will be important to me in my future legal practice, enabling me to easily connect and advocate for diverse individuals and communities.
