My Travel Story

Hello, my name is Mellike, and I am from Ghana. I have recently been accepted to study medicine in Tbilisi, Georgia—a dream I have nurtured for as long as I can remember. Becoming a medical doctor has always been my passion. I want to dedicate my life to diagnosing illnesses, providing life-saving interventions, and improving the health and well-being of others. This opportunity also represents a chance for me to serve my community and country, contributing to a healthier future for Ghana.
In addition to my passion for medicine, I am eager to travel, meet new people, and immerse myself in different cultures. However, financial challenges are standing in the way of this dream. I received my admission in May, and while the first semester has already started, I am unable to join my peers due to these financial difficulties.
To pursue my studies in Georgia, I must first travel to South Africa to process my Georgian study visa, as there is no Georgian embassy in Ghana. This process will take 4-6 weeks, and I am currently unable to afford the costs associated with it.
I am reaching out to you for support. The funds raised will cover my travel expenses to South Africa and Georgia, visa fees, accommodation, and tuition. With your help, I can make my dream of becoming a medical doctor a reality.
