My Travel Story

This summer my two dogs and I will be packing up the car and making our way across the country to our new home in new mexico. I have wanted to take this trip for years and never had the courage to do so.
My plan is to start out in CT after visiting some family and head down south to North Carolina and then across, through Tennessee, Arkansas, Kansas, Colorado, New Mexico, Arizona. The total trip millage ends up to be around 4200 miles (thats including my stops). I did the math on the gas cost, i can get about 280 miles out of my tank size. I will average about 300 miles a day. According to FuelEconomy total cost on gas is about 400$.

I will be visiting some family on my way but mostly will be just camping my way across with my two amazing dogs and visiting National Parks any chance i get. I plan on staying at small camp sites, since camping is a lot cheaper than getting a hotel for a few days. i have averaged about the cost of the site a day is
$18-40 (it may be higher since i will be there after 4th of july) I only plan on staying at the camp sites for 1-2 days at the most.

The reason for this journey is to see more of the country and have a wonderful adventure along my way but also to just feel free. I have worked for most of my adult life and although i am still young and have a lot more to learn, Im not sure i will get another chance to just up root my life and move to a place i don't know. It may sound crazy and reckless but i have a plan.
I am currently working with a career coach to help find a job in my final destination and have put money aside for an apartment. I am living at home to save money but am currently not working. I am involved in a program that helps adults such as myself gain more social skills and help build stronger relationships with peers. This program ends at the end of June and then after that i will be setting on my way with what ever money i have and my car fully packed.  
 
With your help i will be able to make it all the way to my final destination and provide meals for myself and the four legged. As well as have amazing adventures with my pups along the way. I will share photos of all the fun times we have in parks, as well as the camping mishaps we may get into.  Along the way i will need to provide vet visits for my pups to make sure they stay healthy.
