My Travel Story

What I need a hand with...
Hello, I'm Igor, a Brazilian very passionate about basic natural sciences as well as ground-breaking technology, right now finishing my Bachelor's degree in Philosophy, Neuroscience and Cognitive Science in Magdeburg, Germany - and seeking to study Physics in Göttingen afterwards, to complement my skills as a future Artificial Intelligence (A.I.) Researcher and/or Theoretical Physicist.
Yeah, it so happens that most game-changing A.I.-people in the industry come not from Computer Science, but from Physics, as the latter possess a larger breadth of modelling / problem-solving hard skills for the tasks at hand.
So, basically, although there is mostly no tuition in Germany, I need the money to settle down in the new city, pay rent and food (~ 700 EUR/month), as well as the semester fee (in this case 355 EUR/semester), at least for the first 2 semesters, while I seek and apply to a new academic job and hopefully get one.

Why I need help...
Previously I had worked in my home country as a merchant navy officer at sea for roughly 2 years, after 4,5 years of training - just to finance the first part of my current studies abroad.
Because I already have a Bachelor's degree, I am not eligible for scholarships in Germany anymore. As of now, I have been funding my studies through an academic job at the Leibniz Institute for Neurobiology, which I however will not be able to keep when switching to Physics in another city.
Because Physics is very demanding and time-consuming, and good enough (with enough work-hours / salary) academic jobs are hard to come by, I have no other option to finance this new important enterprise and would be tremendously grateful for help from the community!
