My Travel Story

Since i was in high school i have been a volunteer in Shootback MYSA(Mathare Youth Sports Association) a media project where we train young people the art of photography and film since we believe they have stories to tell the world, voluteering and traveling to Norway for the Youth Peace Concert it will be an exposure for me to learn different skills, Norwegian culture and also network with other young peacemakers acroos the world. Coming back to my country i would organize outreach programs/workshops and share the knowledge gained from the youth peace workshops and help young people reach there full potential. Am much involved in youths projects in Nairobi, Kenya where i believe change starts with me and everyone has a chance to make a difference in his/her community. I have choose the destination since its where most of the activities will take place.
Coming from a humble background in Mathare slums makes its a dream to many young people to travel and attend an international event which makes me aggressive to any opportunity which might change my life and the community i come from.
