My Travel Story

I have always wanted to travel the world so I could experience different cultures. I have spent the last 18 years supporting my family after two bouts of congestive heart failure. My primary concern has always been the well-being of my son; therefore, I have worked hard to ensure his needs are always met. I wanted to live long enough to see him into adulthood. He is now 18, and I am turning 50 this year. For so long, I have felt like I am on borrowed time and that my life's work would amount to nothing more than the long hours spent earning an income to support him. That would be the sum of my legacy. I have reached a milestone and am ready to experience the world. I want to build a better legacy by sharing as many adventures with my son as possible. Building memories through travel before our time runs out. I want him to experience other cultures and learn to appreciate life over material things. To learn love, compassion, and peace through experiencing other cultures and ways of life that may lead him to a higher purpose of selflessness.

    I am juggling tasks to set aside time to reorganize my finances. I still need to support my family of four and try to save for all future adventures. I am also helping my husband on our next adventure to start a small business. I am trying to learn how to start a homestead. We want to have the ability to close the gap on food poverty in our community. This is the reason I want to visit Kona, HI. There are so many different types of farms from vanilla, coffees, tea, and cocoa, that I feel I can learn a great deal by visiting these working communities. Theses grower have learned to cultivate the land without destroying it. That is exactly how I want to run my homestead.
