The war in Ukraine is something to which, since its outbreak, I have been called with an ever-burning urge to observe and document. I want to understand what it feels like to be amidst chaos, with shells and explosions tearing through the air like mythological creatures, narrowly missing, and yet to stand my ground, instead of seeking shelter, and capture these moments through my lens.

I have always been one of those who prefer extreme experiences. My goal is to come to Ukraine and pass through a month of war's bitter reality so that I can take pictures depicting pure truth, not something dramatized as it is in movies or on TV. I will capture real moments of conflict—brutal ones that speak more eloquently than any story ever might.

I would be there to share those powerful images with the world so people can see outside of their comfortable lives what happens when evil prevails. It is not just photography; it is being a witness to history, embracing courage amidst danger, and telling the truth of what is happening.

The main cities I will visit are: Lviv, Kyiv, Kharkiv and Zaporizhzhia. These will be the main locations of my visit, but depending on the situation, slight deviations in the route will be made.

I am currently raising funds for me to make this journey a reality. Once raised, I will take a month's unpaid leave to take on this exciting pursuit.
