My Travel Story

Turning 30 is more than a birthday for me it’s a milestone I never thought I’d reach with joy in my heart.

My 20s were not what I imagined. I carried the weight of loss, depression, working non-stop, silently pushing forward while hiding how much I needed a break. I celebrated others, showed up for work, gave when I was empty, and forgot how to celebrate me. 

But as I approached 30, something shifted. I realized I deserved to mark this chapter differently not in a club or behind a screen, but somewhere I could feel fully alive. I chose Zanzibar not for glamour, but for peace, beauty, and a moment to finally exhale. 

I don’t ask for help easily, but this time I’m opening up  because this is more than a vacation. It’s a chance to celebrate survival, growth, and the joy I almost forgot I deserved. If you feel moved to support my journey, even a little, you’re helping me reclaim a piece of myself. 

I’m aiming to raise $1800 to cover flights, accommodation, and experiences that will make this a trip of healing and joy. Every contribution, share, or message means the world.
