Dear Friends and Supporters,

I’m beyond excited to share that I’ve been accepted into a 4-week volunteer program in Cape Town, South Africa, where I’ll be working directly with children, focusing on both childcare and teaching. This opportunity is a perfect fit for me, combining my passion for helping others and my goal of pursuing a career in social work.

Why Cape Town?

South Africa has always fascinated me with its rich cultural diversity and history, but like many places, it faces significant challenges when it comes to education and childcare. Many children grow up without the resources they need to thrive, and I want to help change that. By volunteering in schools and childcare centres, I’ll be able to contribute to their development, helping provide the support and learning opportunities they deserve.

What Will I Be Doing?

Throughout this journey, I’ll be involved in:

·  Caring for children and helping with their daily routines
·  Planning and designing fun and educational lessons
·  Organising games and activities to engage and support their development
·  Assisting with feeding and cleaning up after meals
·  Helping with general duties to ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the centre

How You Can Help

This is a volunteer trip, meaning I won’t be earning anything for my work, and I’m covering the costs out of my own pocket. To make this experience possible, I’m aiming to raise £3,000, which will go towards:

·  Programme fees (covering accommodation, meals, and local support)

·  Flights, travel insurance

·  Transportation Costs
