    MESSAGE FROM LYRIC
    Before posting Lyric's actual message, we would like to thank each and everyone who supported Lyric's Journey to Julliard. This was an amazing opportunity and adventure for her. Lyric adventure came to an unexpected end by coming down sick with COVID a hour before her finale concert, so she wasn't able to perform. Please keep her lifted in prayer and thoughts as she recovers.

    From the desk of Lyric Green:

    These past couple of weeks have been very eventful for me. I went on my first flight, visited Philadelphia and New Jersey, stayed in NYC for two weeks on the campus of a very prestigious music school, cried on the second day because I wanted to go home, cried even more on the second to last day because I didn't want to leave, and learned I had covid an hour before my final concert on the last day. You could say I went out with a "bang". The Sphinx Performance Academy introduced me to so many new things during my time here. I played in a Historical Performance ensemble with a baroque bow for the first time with a really cool bassist by the name of Logan, played my solo in my first masterclass with Tim Cobb, and played in my first orchestra without a conductor. I had a lot of 'first's for everything (including this being the first time I've ever had covid), and although I am upset that I was unable to play in the final concert, I'm happy that I was given the chance to enjoy the majority of this program and meet new people and make new friends from different parts of the world. The instructors and staff here really made this an unforgettable summer, but I can't thank everyone enough for all of the love and support I've recieved for my journey here. I am truly grateful for your kindness.
