I am Dati, a dedicated and passionate young lady who has always dreamt of becoming a reputable nurse midwife. Despite my hard work and determination, my education was put on hold due to circumstances beyond my control.

I began my Nursing studies in Nigeria, but the pandemic forced me to drop out in 2020. Since then, my family has struggled to afford the fees to continue my education. Regardless of the setback I have been fighting to get back on my feet and have refused to give up on my dream.

I see studying in the UK as a New Opportunity for me, I have been accepted to study nursing at Middlesex University in the UK - a prestigious program that will equip me with the skills and knowledge to make a real difference in the lives of everyone.

I have been saving towards my travel for over a year, unfortunately the pounds-Naira exchange rate suddenly tripled this year in such a short period of time, £1 is now over #1900. hence the amount I saved is no longer enough to cover my tuition deposit, visa fee and flight ticket.

After studying abroad I want to return to my country to start a Care Home; to assist the elderly ones who need our love and support. Care Homes are not common in Africa, I believe I can use this idea to enlighten and begin the journey of improving Adult care in my country and Africa at large.
