Help Me Study Abroad!
My Travel Story
This program would help me gain global experience and being able to travel the world and learn about something that is very important to me would be amazing. I would get to see how deaf education is being taught in another country, learn about Deaf history in Canada, Deaf art history, and be able to immerse myself fully with networking and creating relationships with those in the Deaf and interpreting community.
This will help me make a difference in the community because by me seeing firsthand how another country's education is being given to the deaf community, I can use that for myself when I go on after graduation to be an interpreter and be able to do my job as best as I can. I can also be able to start networking and creating connections with other interpreters that can help me with my career in this field.
I am passionate about this project because ever since I became an American Sign Language major, I have just loved learning new things and being involved in the community and culture. It has been an amazing time and I just want to be able to learn as much as I can. This trip will leave such an impact on me like my Thailand trip did. I am excited to have the opportunity to travel abroad again and be able to expand my horizons even more.
