My Travel Story

Hey Everyone!

As you all know, I am in my senior year at William Jewell College. In order to graduate I am required to study abroad. It had always been my dream to study in a spanish speaking country for I have been studying spanish for many years now. In mid-October I applied and was accepted to an intensive course in Barcelona, Spain! I will be studying political history, culture, and immigration in a intense course at the Barcelona School for International Studies. The class I will take while there will inform my research for my senior thesis project. I have been blessed to have an unique opportunity to do quality research while in Spain to embetter my senior research project for graduation, and practice spanish with native speakers on a continuous basis. Ultimately, I desire to have a career educating refugee and immigrant children. I believe this experience will help me better understand our political system and how it functions on a global scale which in turn affects every day people, especially children, entering in our country.

As we all know, traveling is expensive! Once accepted into the program, I worked hard to pay for the program fees with scholarships, grants and a personal loan. Now that I have the program covered, I am asking for help with small miscellaneous purchases. These purchases would include small daily meals, daily travel and class materials, etc. Anything helps, even a $1!

Though I am deciding to ask for help pretty late, you may donate the whole time I am abroad,as I will have access to my account while overseas. Do not worry if you can not donate as I am also requesting prayers and emails while abroad! If you are interested in my travels and discoveries, please follow my personal blog to stay updated!
